pMad's biography :
Paul Dillon is a solo artist called pMad who is based in Portumna, Co.Galway in Ireland and producing Goth, Post-Punk, Indie, New Wave Rock music.
Recently, pMad has had collaborations with Italian artist Think with the single 'Chance' and a new collaboration with Lunar Paths (Uk / USA / Greece) and Killtoys (Australian) to create the Exquisite Corpses project.
pMad released his new album 'In Power" on 5th January 2024.
All pMad's music is self released on Zedakube Records.
Starting out with writing and playing with The Suicidal Dufflecoats to The Greeting.
If you are into Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Simple Minds, Killing Joke, The Sisters of Mercy and the like, pMad is the band for you !

“Who Am I” has a big, serious sound, drawing listeners in for the entirety of the music. Accompanying the release is a film short available on YouTube. Expressed in visuals, the creative point is ultimately realized as macabre. Look out for the clown. As a particular idea pervades the screen, pMad turns music and lyrics into action during “Who Am I.”

PMAD tem mostrado ser um post punk dark e gótico, e sua nova canção "Who Am I" prova isso. O vídeoclipe é sombrio e lembra filmes de terror como "Halloween" e "Pânico". A voz de Paul é a cara do punk. Uma voz expressiva. A música tem no arranjo vocal um coral dark. As batidas são fortes e a guitarra é bem presente, além do baixo. Um grande lançamento e com certeza uma faixa que mostra o melhor do indie irlandês e que vai agitar a galera ao redor do mundo.

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Who would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?
Paul Dillon: My musical influences are so broad, and I think it will come across in the singles and album. Dark goth, new wave/80’s, metal, indie, and alt-rock. A sucker for a bass line. Big Cure-head in the day and still Goth (The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, etc), that looked out of place at Indie ‘A House’, Fugazi / Sonic Youth/ Dinosaur Jr, loving Tom Waits to Suicidal Tendencies. Varied inspiration coming out in what I create.

The debut single ‘Who Am I’ is an emotional mix of pMad’s haunted, gloomy voice, choir and guest voices in addition to dramatic keys, neat bass lines, guitars all tied together with a pulsating drum groove.
‘Who Am I’ is an audio and visual emotional rollercoaster. Firstly, seeing the coroner examining a body, we are to decide if it is the perpetrator or the victim. The song is asking, "Am I the perpetrator? Am I the victim? Am I the survivor? Am I good or evil? Which one are you? Who Am I?"
